YIT Emico

AS YIT Emico was founded in 1992, launching operations under the name AS Emico. Since its establishment YIT Emico has been involved in internal high current electricity works and automatic fire alarm systems. The majority of our clients are large building companies for whom we perform subcontracted internal electrical work. In our almost 15 years of operation the company has built shopping centres, houses, hotels, banks and production facilities.

In August 2005 YIT Building Systems OY obtained a majority shareholding in AS Emico, and we have belonged to the YIT group and gone under the name AS YIT Emico since the start of 2006.

The company has continually grown over the years and the net turnover in 2008 was 90 million EEK. Today YIT Emico provides full-time positions for 40 people.

YIT Building Systems OY is the Scandinavian market leader in the provision of services connected to the technical systems of structures. The takeover of Emico was part of the company’s strategy to expand its network of business activities in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. YIT Building Systems offers electrical, lighting, heating, water and ventilation systems and security, automated and audiovisual systems. Its services incorporate the entire development cycle of a building, from design through to installation and after-sales service. Its area of operations stretches from Scandinavia through the Baltic States to Russia.
